The major distributions publish errata. Regularly visit your distribution's update page and update packages as security problems are found.

There are a number of sites and mailing lists dedicated to tracking vulnerabilities. Several of note follow:

• Security Focus is a well respected site, that host a number of major lists including Bugtraq
• CERT Coordination Center This is the clearinghouse for security-related things. Rather important, you know?
• Attrition has a load of general information on matters of security.
• Linux Administrator's Security Guide Covers the big issues quickly and well.
